Weight-Optimized Curved ABS Car Spoilers Made via CNC Machining & Painting

Created on 07.22
These curved automotive spoilers are newly finished in our workshop.Unlike mass-produced injection molded spoilers, these units are crafted from solid ABS blocks by CNC machining. The whole structure is internally hollowed out precisely to cut down overall weight, while maintaining enough structural rigidity.
Large curved thin-walled parts bring obvious processing challenges. CNC tool paths must be carefully programmed to avoid vibration, surface ripples and deformation during material removal. After machining, every surface goes through multi-stage manual sanding to lay a solid foundation for painting.
The final piano black high-gloss coating is the key to achieving a premium automotive appearance. Strict dust control during spraying is critical to prevent tiny blemishes on the visible exterior surface. Consistent paint thickness eliminates orange peel and ensures uniform gloss across the long curved profile.
CNC manufacturing is ideal for automotive spoiler development stages. It supports low-volume trial batches and design revisions without expensive injection tooling. We can adjust hollow-out geometry, wall thickness and mounting structure flexibly according to aerodynamic and weight targets.
All CNC machining, surface preparation and painting work are completed within our factory. Our engineering team can carry out DFM evaluation based on your aerodynamic design, balancing weight reduction, structural strength and production feasibility.
If you are developing custom prototype or small-batch automotive spoilers, send your CAD drawings over. We can provide processing suggestions and a competitive quotation.
